Pile Driver / Carpenter
Description
Schnabel is looking for a Pile Driver to assist with the building of specialty underground structures. Our goal is to find a Pile Driver or Carpenter with experience in the successful installation of piles, walers, steel bracing, and other unique structural support methods for deep excavations. As a pile driver, you will assist our job site superintendent and project manager to ensure that we have a safely run and profitable project. You will be a leader on site and lead by example when it comes to production, safety culture, and the ability to follow a plan.

Job Responsibilities
- You will install piles, lagging, walers, braces, and more.
- Ability to follow and be held accountable for all of Schnabel’s and OSHA’s safety regulations
- Responsible for safe and proficient operation of welding equipment and surveying instruments
- Clean and maintain all assigned equipment
- Work closely with site leadership to ensure that scope of work is being met within a timely schedule
- Manage your scope of work appropriately to minimize job cost
- You will be responsible for layout
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret plans and schematics
- Minimum of 2 years of documented experience in a pile driving role
- D1.1 Certified or the ability to obtain the certificate upon completion of weld test
- Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds of materials when necessary
- Local and regional travel as required for projects
- High school diploma or equivalent
Pay will be based on local union wage scales.
