Credit Management Accountant (temp 6 months)
SBM Offshore owns and operates the world’s largest fleet of FPSO’s which recently achieved more than 1 million barrels of oil per day. SBM Offshore has five Regional Centers, eleven operational shore bases, joint ventures with several construction yards and an offshore fleet of vessels, with a total of 5000 employees.
For its Finance Department, SBM OFFSHORE is looking for a Credit Management Accountant.
RESPONSIBILITIES (=) MAIN TASKS (+)
= Administration & monitoring of all Clients and Intercompany invoices within SBM Operations which are under a charter and/or an operation contract(s).
= Invoice on a timely basis and ensure that SBM is paid on time.
+ INVOICING :
Prepare clients & intercompany clients invoices according to contractual terms & book accounting records;
Follow client & intercompany client payments and send reminders;
Support Treasury Group for payment booking and allocate clients & intercompany accounts (clients + suppliers) in the accounting system.
+ ACCOUNTING :
Perform accounting bookings required for the month-end close & year-end close exercise;
Perform B/S analysis and clear positions (accrued income / accounts receivables);
Perform overdue receivables analysis;
Participate to the cash planning and cash optimization.
+ GENERAL :
Participate actively in evaluating process improvements and accounting issues;
Identify problems, research alternatives, prepare analysis and make recommendations;
Be comfortable with the various contracts and create memory card.
Education: Degree in Finance/Accounting
Experience: 1years’ experience in accounting;
Specific competencies (knowledge or know-how) which are a key factor for the position:
Accounting & Organizational skills;
MS Excel skills;
Good human relations skills, curiosity and pro-activity.
