Samtec is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive New Product Manufacturing Engineer to support the NR/TG department. This role involves coordinating daily operations, managing project timelines, and facilitating communication between teams to ensure smooth production processes. This is a day shift position. The hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. 
The salary range for this position is $80K to $90K inclusive of applicable bonuses and is commensurate with experience.  Standard benefit offerings available are medical (HSA/PPO), dental, vision, hearing, group life, AD&D, short and long term disability, PTO, vacation, EAP, 401k,  other voluntary options along with a collaborative work environment and supportive company culture.    
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities: 
 
  1. Quickly learn and navigate Samtec systems including SFC, QP Suite, Inventory Suite, Microsoft Office, Project Tracking System, Power BI, and PLM. 
  2. Serve as a liaison between operators, supervisors, and engineers to ensure clear communication and alignment  
  3. Manage project open issues: 
    1. Review and log operator-submitted open issues. 
    2. Communicate with engineering teams to track resolution timelines  
    3. Document corrective actions and close issues  
  4. Support daily operations by fielding questions and ensuring engineering priorities are met.  
  5. Maintain and manage key documentation 
    1. Optics Transfer Forms, routings, BOMs for alternate sites 
    2. Customer Readiness Reviews 
    3. Time studies and weekly NR updates summarizing order status and issue tracking  
    4. Review QP summary upon completion of first time builds and ensure long term corrective actions have been implemented

          6. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate next steps in   complex workflows

Qualifications Required: 
 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate engineering and operations to meet production schedules.
  • Correctable vision to 20/40.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Full use of all digits; capable of standing/sitting for extended periods.
  • No sensory impairments or limb paralysis.
  • Willingness to work until daily tasks are completed.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems 
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills 
Preferred: 
 
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • B.S. in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
Training:

On-the-job training will be provided as needed.
