Staff Engineer


We are looking for a first class senior hardware/software engineer with excellent design, test, debug and process background. The role will be to continually improve and expand our Location integration, including test and debug of location system software on various platforms – with ownership of bring-up for every new HW DUT.  Role would also include efforts to improve efficiency and contributing to improvements to our automated build and continuous integration system.  You will be joining an experienced and dynamic team that continually strives to improve the technical abilities and quality of our products.


  • Integration of GNSS location solution into new platforms.
  • GNSS location solution integration, GNSS-AP integration, HW board level bring-up/debug
  • Bring-up of GNSS in new HW platforms (debugger scripts to RF matching)
  • Interface driver and protocol design, integration and test.
  • Provide analysis of software implementations to validate resulting performance and determine required corrective action, including changes to the software to resolve.
  • Assess product quality in customer configurations (including foreign and domestic travel)
  • Support and improvements to our off-line continuous integration system
  • Provide profiling analysis of software implementations on platforms to optimize and debug integration and resource issues – ability to isolate and identify root causes of field failures with potentially very little direct visibility.

REQUIRED SKILLS (Education, Certificates, Licenses, Travel)

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience may be acceptable)
  • At least 4 years of experience in hardware/software integration and development including RF circuits and software integration.
  • Must be able to travel to Korea and China (4 trips of 10 days each per year)
  • Excellent analytic, problems solving and debugging skills including solid mathematics.
  • HW board bring-up and debug (power, resets, co-existence, etc)
  • Excellent C programming skills in a real-time, mutli-threaded embedded environment.
  • Phone application and service provider layer experience and/or integration experience.
  • Experience with scripting for data analysis and automated regression testing.
  • Experience with development tools such as emulators, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, debuggers, profilers and oscilloscopes
  • Microsoft Office, database skills desired.
  • Both domestic and/or international travel will be required. Up to 10 days per trip and 5 trips per year.
  • Travel required, Field testing required


  • Verilog, schematic/layout, C or ASM required. GNSS, Python, Sensors preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, requiring minimal supervision while working in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to multi-task effectively under considerable pressure of deadlines and easily adapt within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with processor cores is desirable
