Samsung Semiconductor Inc is looking for talented circuit designers with strong background and hands-on experience on PMIC area. The candidate will be developing next generation power management integrated circuits for smartphones and other portable consumer electronics.


  • Design state-of-the-art DC-DC converters (2-level, 3-level, switched-C) and Low Dropout Regulators (LDOs) for mobile applications
  • Research in advanced PMIC
  • Supervise layout, lab testing, and support for production


  • Experience in designing power management circuits such as buck, boost, charge pumps, and LDOs
  • Knowledges on various control method (voltage mode, current mode, hysteretic)
  • Experience in behavioral modeling and functional verification
  • Strong knowledge in analog IC flow and CAD tools
  • Good understanding of the physical layout requirement and ability to perform the critical layouts
  • Lab testing skills to evaluate prototypes to the design specification


  • Knowledges on various charging operations (CC/CV/IVR/ICR)
  • Experiences in various conversion-ratio switched-C dividers in charging system
  • Wireless charging transmitter/receiver PMIC design (Architecture/rectifier/high-voltage LDO)
  • Experiences in wireless charging system design including impedance matching/physical antenna design
  • Experiences in mobile battery charging system, charging profiles, and wireless charging system
  • Familiar with wireless charging standards (WPC, AFA (Formerly known as PMA, A4WP))
  • Knowledges on future charging topology
  • Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power management
