What You Will Do:

This position is responsible for managing the business development function and strategy to drive technology adoption in the short-term and ensure long-term benefits of its deployment. In addition to telling our compelling story, this role requires a confident self-starter with experience selling complex green building / efficiency-related solutions to a variety of potential stakeholders: residential real estate groups, property managers, government officials and permitting agencies.

  • Educate customers and other stakeholders about the benefits of water efficiency technologies and effectively communicating Lotik’s value proposition
  • Gather data and other information from potential installation sites to generate reports, calculate returns, present proposals and negotiate contracts.
  • Interfacing with utilities, government agencies and potential investors as required to assist in obtaining the necessary resources to deploy our technology.
  • Support existing efforts and conceive, develop and implement new strategies to foster the growth of the water efficiency industry, and cultivate, maintain and grow meaningful relationships with relevant senior stakeholders and influencers.
  • Identify and understand policy and other factors posing existing or future barriers to the adoption of Lotik’s technology.
  • Continuously build an intimate insight and knowledge of our customers, their businesses, and what is necessary for them to be successful, and the value that our current and future products deliver to our customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Architects, Engineering Firms, Contractors & Developers to ensure future partnerships in conformance with the company's growth plans.
  • Actively participate in designated industry associations/trade groups.
  • Help create appropriate marketing materials and marketing strategies that go hand-in-hand with business development meetings.


What We Want to See:

  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Strong ability to communicate Lotik’s value proposition clearly and professionally via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings with key decision makers and stakeholders
  • Impressive track-record in selling, developing and managing customers and projects within in a B2B / Enterprise environment.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritize new business and project development opportunities in order to maximize productivity.
  • Ability to write compelling sales proposals in various formats
  • High standard of communications skills to demonstrate concise and clear writing skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Demonstrable ability to build long term relationships
  • Good team-working skills, and ability to function effectively in a small team with individual responsibilities and collective goals.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload to ensure effective delivery of objectives
  • Attention to detail, good judgement, excellent communication, and a great attitude.
  • Technically adept and experienced with SaaS, IoT and wireless technologies
  • Strong professional and customer references
  • Have led or built a sales team
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet skills to forecast sales, revenues, and business metrics.
  • Experience in the real-estate or sustainability sectors with the ability to understand plumbing and building trades.
