Tax Manager
Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Tax Manager to join our international tax practice in our Charlotte, NC office. You will work with a select team providing tax services to clients in various industries including primarily: manufacturing and distribution. You must be able to manage projects, work under time pressures, multi-task and communicate effectively. You should be organized, proactive and results oriented.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the tax compliance aspects of a client book of business and take responsibility for all tax compliance forms/projects associated with the book of business
- Prepare and review Federal and state corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
- Prepare and review income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
- Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal, state, and international tax topics
- Perform a variety of tax consulting projects such as permanent establishment analyses and nexus studies
- Provide timely and high-quality services and deliverables that exceed client expectations
- Impart knowledge, facilitate staff development, and provide training and learning experiences
- Effectively delegate and oversee the work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, and removing obstacles
- Team with partners and senior personnel on proposals and business development opportunities
- Provide timely training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates
Desired Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of professional Federal and state income tax experience including experience in public accounting
- 2+ years of income tax return review experience
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Masters degree in Accounting/Taxation
- CPA license or similar certification required
- Excellent research, writing and communication skills in English
- Strong leadership skills and a positive team player attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry
- German writing and communication skills is an advantage
- ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Axcess experience
