We are currently seeking a full-time Tax Manager to join our international tax practice in our Charlotte, NC office. You will work with a select team providing tax services to clients in various industries including primarily: manufacturing and distribution.  You must be able to manage projects, work under time pressures, multi-task and communicate effectively. You should be organized, proactive and results oriented.

Responsibilities:  
  • Manage the tax compliance aspects of a client book of business and take responsibility for all tax compliance forms/projects associated with the book of business
  • Prepare and review Federal and state corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
  • Prepare and review income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
  • Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal, state, and international tax topics
  • Perform a variety of tax consulting projects such as permanent establishment analyses and nexus studies
  • Provide timely and high-quality services and deliverables that exceed client expectations
  • Impart knowledge, facilitate staff development, and provide training and learning experiences
  • Effectively delegate and oversee the work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, and removing obstacles
  • Team with partners and senior personnel on proposals and business development opportunities
  • Provide timely training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff associates
Desired Skills & Experience:  
  • 5+ years of professional Federal and state income tax experience including experience in public accounting
  • 2+ years of income tax return review experience
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Masters degree in Accounting/Taxation
  • CPA license or similar certification required
  • Excellent research, writing and communication skills in English
  • Strong leadership skills and a positive team player attitude
Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry
  • German writing and communication skills is an advantage
  • ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Axcess experience
