The Opportunity:
The Events Specialist will report to the Manager, Events Strategy + Planning. The successful candidate will be a proficient and talented project task-master, able to manage multiple priorities and manage successful cross-functional relationships. The candidate will be able to quickly learn the business needs and goals of our Consultants while being strategically focused, detail-oriented and conscientious. This individual must be proactive, resourceful, capable of building strong relationships, handle multiple tasks and prioritize without jeopardizing quality of execution.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for effectively initiating, planning, scheduling, and coordinating many activities for events-related initiatives
  • Work with Manager, Events Strategy + Planning to ensure deadlines are met while consistently tracking progress status and handling any issues that arise
  • Work with Manager, Events Strategy + Planning to create and maintain project documentation, plans, reports and decks
  • Create and prepare weekly Events Team Powerpoint presentations 
  • Act as point of contact for other cross-functional teams to drive communication and gather dates and information for master source documents/project plan
  • Oversee contracting process and submission for all event vendors, ensuring contracts are submitted through company systems properly and on time
  • Provide support for budget management
  • Support the team with scheduling, including but not limited to: meeting creation, recording notes, send follow-up notes/action items from meetings
  • Work with Executive Management lead to create needed decks, itineraries and agendas for events, assist with executive HMU, F+B & scheduling changes
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related and/or event related duties as assigned
  • May serve as liaison between 3rd parties with regards to all facets of the logistical operations and support of the event
  • Provide support (administrative, tactical) for Events Team projects

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with events and project coordination, ideally in a customer facing role
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and sophistication in navigating new software
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and administrative skills with professional, courteous, friendly, and empathetic interpersonal skills
  • Direct Selling / Network Marketing industry experience preferred
  • Ability to positively adjust to a rapidly changing environment
  • Engaging, outgoing personality
  • Ability to travel when necessary
  • Experience with SmartSheets preferred
  • Experience with Coupa or Apptus is preferred
