Revenue Staff Accountant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITILES: 

  

          Responsible for preparing reconciliations to ensure accordance per GAAP, including: 

  • Accounts receivable- credit card & other
  • Revenue by product/customer type/SKU
  • Chargebacks- Receivable & Expense
  • Event Revenue
  • Deferred revenue
  • Unearned Sales & Freight
  • Other Misc. Receivable
  • Misc. Income via other revenue streams
  • Merchant card fees

          Document insightful variance analysis commentary for management and work with the business to define action plans to address opportunities. 

          Assist in developing and implementing policies, controls and procedures over revenue, credit card processing, chargebacks, and returns functionality.  

          Work cross-functionally to implement and continually optimize business processes. 

          Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue-related accounts, identifying trends, anomalies, and potential issues. 

          Escalate and resolve issues that may arise within R+F related systems to ensure the business is not interrupted or affected. 

          Prepare account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner. 

          Assist in the annual audit 

          Handle ad-hoc accounting projects  

  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  

          Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting.  

          1-3 years related work experience 

          Excellent working knowledge of US GAAP and ability to research and resolve accounting issues  

          eCommerce or consumer package goods experience preferred 

          Tier 1 ERP experience preferred 

          Good knowledge of US GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting applications. 

          Highly detail-oriented and organized 

          Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks 

          Thrive in a high performance, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment 

          Advanced analytical and Microsoft Excel Skills 

          Ability to analyze complex system data and improve system processes 

          Self-motivated and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines. 

          Self-starter and work with limited direction and taking full ownership of areas of responsibility 

          Possess effective communications and interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster business relationships within and across functions and explain complex accounting theories, concepts and 

processes in ways that non-technical stakeholders can understand.
