The Opportunity

Rodan + Fields is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to be part of the Engineering team.  Senior Data Engineer well versed in designing & development of data integration leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (BigQuery, DataFlow, BigTable, Data Fusion, Cloud Composer) and Confluent cloud (Kafka)


  • Design and development of data integration needs which includes data integration from Hybris, GCE into downstream applications (DataLake, GCS, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, third party)
  • Manage and design Data security, Data Governance and Data privacy on Confluent Cloud and GCP
  • Have a good understanding of Google best practice/recommendation and should be able to align the same with the customer requirements to deliver best in class solutions
  • Subject matter expert on the data integration layer
  • Perform proof of concept for evaluating various GCP technologies
  • Contribute to data solution scoping and effort estimates on data integration layer
  • Work collaboratively with SalesForce, EDW, GCE, third party and Infrastructure team
  • Provide expert level advice to Data Engineers and Operations team
  • Stay informed on Technology trends and product roadmaps to make data architecture recommendations



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT or MIS
  • 10+ years of experience in design, development and implementation of data solutions for enterprises
  • 2+ years of experience in leading the data engineering team
  • Experience in design and development using GCP technologies
  • Experience in design and development of real time data streaming solutions using Confluent Cloud (Kafka)
  • Deep functional and business process understanding
  • Experienced with Agile methodologies and ITIL process
  • Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
