Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support technology and data-driven initiatives. This role partners with business stakeholders, governance teams, and technology teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensure alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and document business needs in collaboration with stakeholders, governance, and technology teams.
• Review policies, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with business and governance requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Create and manage Jira Epics, Features, and User Stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Ensure strong traceability from business objectives and standards through delivery and validation.
• Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, walkthroughs, and requirement validation sessions.
• Present requirements, standards, and solution approaches to senior leadership.
• Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization activities within Agile teams.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Required Experience:
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology or data initiatives.
• Strong experience reviewing policies, standards, and formal documentation.
• Hands-on experience with Jira (Epics, Stories, workflows, acceptance criteria).
• Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
Preferred:
Experience in housing finance, mortgage, credit risk, loan servicing, or other regulated financial services environments.
