Finance Business Analyst
Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) & Return on Equity (ROE)
Washington, DC | Hybrid (2–3 days/week in office) | Through October 2026 (minimum)
About the Role
We are seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join our client engagement in Washington, DC. This role focuses on building and enhancing Return on Equity (ROE) calculations in support of the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, brings strong finance domain knowledge, and is adept at translating complex business needs into actionable solutions for technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the rapid build-out and enhancement of Finance ROE calculations for the FTP team
• Translate evolving business requirements into clear, structured guidance for technology teams
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, and Capital Markets stakeholders to define and prototype FTP and Finance ROE-related requirements
• Support implementation by working closely with developers to ensure accurate execution of financial logic
• Perform thorough testing, validation, and reconciliation of outputs to ensure accuracy and alignment with business intent
• Document business processes and testing results to maintain clarity and traceability
• Conduct data analysis and evaluate results for alignment with business objectives
• Identify issues and work closely with teams to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
• 2-8 years of experience
• Experience with Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) or Finance Return on Equity (ROE) modeling
• Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into structured guidance for technology teams
• Experience partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, and Capital Markets
• Strong testing, validation, and reconciliation skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large, complex datasets
• Demonstrated experience analyzing outputs from technology applications to ensure business alignment
• Ability to onboard and contribute quickly in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Background in Treasury, Capital Markets, or Finance analytics within a financial institution or GSE
• Familiarity with fixed income, mortgage-related financial instruments, or balance sheet analytics
• Understanding of financial performance metrics including ROE, NIM, or funding cost allocation
• Experience with data analysis tools beyond Excel (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Python)
