Description

We seek a senior full-stack developer to join the Sustainability Front Office Technology team. The individual will work as part of the global development team, which is spread across 4 MSIM sites. The individual will help the team design, and develop a modern technology stack to power our digital platforms aimed at unlocking efficiencies for our Investment Teams. As a front office developer, the individual will also work closely with the Sustainability team to solve operational problems and design strategic solutions to offer various Environmental, Social, and Governance metrics to our investment teams. The individual will contribute and take ownership of key ESG Initiatives that impact both Investments and provide solutions to regulatory requirements.

We work with the following technologies:

1. Backend - Core Java / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud

2. Frontend – JS / Angular / Bootstrap / jQuery

3. Python / FAST / Flask API

4. Linux / Cloud Stack / Docker / Kubernetes

5. Build tooling – Jenkins / Gradle

6. Database technologies – NoSQL / MongoDB / DB2

7. Instrumentation – Splunk

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Designing and developing modern and modular web applications using modern coding and testing standards.

2. Participating in our agile ceremonies and driving towards the team’s goals.

3. Working collaboratively with a global team of technologists.

4. Leading with ideas and innovation.

5. Managing communication and partnering with our end users (Sustainability team) to design solutions.

Competencies:

- Candidates with 7 or more years of experience developing enterprise applications.

o Solid experience with MVC Architecture for web apps.

Solid experience writing unit, component, and integration tests.

- Significant experience with Angular, Java, and Python.

- Experience working with microservices and distributed systems.

- Experience working with build tooling.

- Ability to engage with end users for requirement gathering and run agile ceremonies.

- Strong understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments.

- Experience with Equities and ESG KPI data a plus.

• Willingness to learn MS Intellectual cloud-based technologies.
