Staff Accountant

PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES  
The Staff Accountant at Revision reports to the Assistant Controller and supports the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a strong academic background in accounting or finance. They should possess a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and demonstrate proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel. A proactive attitude toward problem solving and willingness to take on new challenges are essential qualities. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across different departments are also highly valued.  
  
SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Reconcile the daily receipts and disbursements of all cash accounts and work with A/R and A/P to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Facilitate corporate credit card program and record all approved transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain month-end close account reconciliations within deadlines.
  • Prepare and post approved journal entries to the ERP system.
  • Prepare bi-weekly payroll and related tax and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly tax reporting and supporting documentation.
  • Support annual audits and tax filings and provide requested documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Assist with the documentation and maintenance of internal controls and procedures.
  • Support product costing and inventory management.
  • Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Accounting preferred)
  • 0-2 years directly related experience
  • Familiarity with payroll administration preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail a must.
  • Positive attitude, energetic and passionate.
  • Team player with an ability to build relationships throughout the organization.
  • U.S. government authorization required.
