Associate Creative Director / Sr Art Director

The Associate Creative Director or Sr. Art Director will drive forward creative on well-known package goods brands in the baby care, personal care and home care categories. You will work collaboratively with the creative team and account service, taking a lead role in developing on-strategy and on-target concepts.

Major Responsibilities 

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of category, target audience(s) and existing brand guidelines
  • Work in collaboration with copywriters and other creative team members to develop creative concepts to meet client goals and strategies
  • Effectively articulate the strategic thinking and rationale behind creative concepts and layout solutions in both internal and client presentations
  • Manage project from concept through execution, effectively, in all media touch points from video to static to digital and shopper and any combination thereof
  • Provide mentoring and quality checks with less senior art directors and designers to ensure the delivery of high quality work
  • Capable of graphic systems development and clear, detailed expression of resulting guidelines for new projects and/or redirection of existing brand guidelines
  • Establish and maintain communication with Creative Director throughout all projects
  • Predict project requirements, anticipate potential problems and proposes solutions
  • Collaborate well and accept constructive feedback from other team members as well as clients and apply this to the redirection of projects
  • Participate in initiating proposals, reviewing, selecting and working with directors, videographers, photographers and illustrators to bring the approved concept to life
  • Maintain up-to-date familiarity on competitive advertising and promotion programs
  • Maintain high graphic standards and awareness of new techniques and trends; share this knowledge with other members of the creative department

  • Ability to Provide Direction: Establish clear directions based on objectives; communicate well with others on the progress of work and results
  • Problem Solving: Both in terms of strategic challenges the client faces as well as day-to-day suggestions for how to work more efficiently, effectively and innovatively
    Communication: Must be able to convey ideas in ways that are understood and relatable
  • Strong, Conceptual Portfolio of Work: Including execution across a wide range of touch points
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Depth of Knowledge of Typography, Layout and Design Principles
  • 5-7+ Years: With solid demonstration of the skills outlined above
