Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oversight and management of related employee pay data and records within payroll system of record
  • Responsible for HR system implementation including researching vendors, building business cases, and partnering with vendors 
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll (including manual checks) for over 300 employees
  • Responsible for tracking and deducting all garnishment and other payroll deductions
  • Responsible for procedural implementation of wage and hour laws, as well as company policies as they relate to payroll-related matters
  • System administrator for HRIS system
  • Coordinate 401k audits
  • Responsible for accurately maintaining Payroll files and records in a timely manner
  • Comply with federal, state and local taxation and regulatory filings (such as Nevada MBT, Washing Labor and Industry, etc)
  • Responsible for human resources, payroll and benefit reporting for quarterly metrics
  • Processes invoices and purchase orders, to include benefit invoices and validate accuracy
  • Summarizes and posts data to journals, ledgers and accounts
  • Coordinate with the finance team and prepare reports to ensure proper recording and cording of all payroll- related expenses (salary, bonus, 401K, benefits, commissions, vacation accruals, etc)
  • Assists in developing, documenting, implementing, and enforcing processes, policies, and controls around all elements of the HR and payroll administration process.
  • Assists with employee meetings and training sessions for employee benefits and communicating any new policies and/or procedure changes
  • Coordinates on-boarding of new hires
  • Maintains the employee handbook with pertinent information
  • Other projects will be assigned as needed



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of  work experience in Human Resources and at least 2 years managing payroll
  • Broad knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Hands on experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll system
  • Experience implementing HR systems
  • Previous reporting and data experience, creating related reports, analyzing data, and recommending solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization skills, and ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational/time management skills – detail oriented
  • Strong ability to work in a highly sensitive and confidential environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle stressful situations
  • Ability to identify issues and help develop strategy and complex tactical plans for HR initiatives
  • Strong computer skills, including Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
