Summary |
The Company is seeking a PAID Summer 2024 intern to support engineering efforts on the Development Engineering Team with designing and performing technical due diligence for utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects. The internship will cover the Summer term and is flexible with start/end dates. This internship will gain exposure to projects currently under development, being constructed, preparing for financial close, and actively being marketed into wholesale power markets in the US. These projects will be located across the US and allow this position to be remote. This internship is an opportunity to join an industry-leading team to help drive management decision making and grow the business. |
Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Areas |
- Assess new sites for solar and battery storage project development opportunities, including performing site visits.
- Manage and review technical due diligence (Geotechnical and Hydrological Surveys) for late-stage development projects.
- Perform project designs in AutoCAD and optimize for cost/performance.
- Prepare site constraints plans for projects at the EPC RFP stage.
- Review EPC bids and designs.
- Support bidding into PPA RFPs.
- Support project sales.

Requirements | |
Knowledge & Skills - Demonstrated interest in a career in renewable energy.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.

- Critical thinking: the ability to break a situation down into smaller pieces to identify its key or underlying issues

| Experience & Education - Minimum of at least 2 years of coursework working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any amount of coursework experience working towards a Graduate degree.
- Renewable energy experience a plus
- Civil engineering is also a plus
