Description

The Manager of Delivery Services takes ultimate accountability for delivery execution aspect of the development team in accordance with organizational objectives. Core to this function's success is strong business partnerships, clear and transparent communication, and delivering software solutions on time and on budget. This position provides leadership guidance to a team of Project Managers and Scrum Masters in all aspects of process and delivery. The Delivery Services manager will work in conjunction with other application delivery roles to assure that the solutions produced meet the expectations of the business and the team is executing in the most efficient way. The Manager of Delivery Services is a constant champion for Quantum's values and pillars.

Role and Tasks:

  • Support project delivery work as determined by the business. Lead risk and tradeoff discussions. Focus on delivering on time on budget and managing demand, capacity and estimates across the portfolio of change initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to the team including driving a focus on continuous improvement and fostering a learning culture throughout the AD/DS/QA teams
  • Provide administrative oversight to a delivery services team including career development, succession planning, talent review, etc. 
  • Collaborate with the business on future strategic initiatives and aligning our teams to the most value adding objectives. 
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership capabilities as acquired through a minimum 5 years' experience leading the delivery functions for an organization
  • Strong understanding and champion of agile delivery practices and experience with practical implementation.
  • High degree of technical competency, ability to learn new technology quickly, aptitude for process, details and ability to make sound strategic and tactical decisions
  • Ability to effectively work with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including influencing and ability to clearly translate complexity to an executive audience
  • Highly collaborative style, willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams, proven relationship-building skills, proven skills as a coach, teacher and mentor
  • Strong problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail
  • Assess/identify training needs for leadership development
