Job Title: Director of Product Design, User Experience

 Job Description: 
Will be the product design leader and member of the product team.   Lead a small creative product design team who will be directly responsible for the user experience for all of our products at Quantum Health.  Will coordinate with agile development teams, product owners, business analysts, subject matter experts, and business leaders to create a user experience throughout our solutions.  Will introduce and leverage design thinking principles to our product development efforts throughout the organization.  Has responsibility to coordinate with marketing to ensure brand message is consistent throughout all product solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive cross functional teams and UX/UI creatives in the formation, evolution, and revolution of current and future products.  Will apply strategic thinking design thinking principles to our processes
  • Will interact frequently with product development, Agile based teams, iterating quickly and effectively on a range of solutions and services
  • Will be the advocate on behalf of the end-user (both internal and external) for our products and services
  • Translate user research insights into meaningful, empathy driven solutions that will drive our digital solutions forward
  • Lead and manage our overall content strategy
  • Responsible for leading team of creatives to understand our internal and external customer needs – creating a user experience that drives engagement and productivity.
  • Will work closely with internal teams to identify improvements to UX/UI to streamline internal operations
  • Will work with product owners, subject matter experts, and business leaders to develop insights, recommendations, personas and experience maps
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas and concept, working in partnership with our product owners, to communicate concisely the value proposition / business case of our products to a variety of audiences – business acumen
  • Will stay current with digital trends and best practices— focused on latest digital and emerging.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with preferred area of study in Psychology, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Digital Media, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of industry research experience in digital solutions.
  • Experience in planning, conducting, analyzing and reporting on user studies for new product idea generation as well as current product evolution.
  • Proven experience in leading a team and independently leading research projects
  • Experience with a range of user research methods used to gather qualitative and quantitative data (contextual interviews, moderated and unmoderated usability testing, survey development, secondary research analysis, competitive analysis, digital analytics, etc.)
  • Experienced in moderation of research methods for interviews and focus groups, both in-person and online, as well as online bulletin boards
  • Direct experience in testing with concepts and early prototypes.
  • Deep understanding of heuristics for user interfaces and experience conducting heuristic evaluations.
  • Experience presenting and persuading in cross-functional and leadership settings.
  • Strong overall business acumen and savvy
