The Systems Infrastructure Engineer Role  

Embark on an exciting journey as a System Infrastructure Engineer at Qlik. Join our seasoned team dedicated to supporting a vast Windows Server infrastructure and critical applications spanning traditional data centers and cutting-edge cloud platforms.

Innovative Technologies: Engage with cutting-edge technologies like Tanzu, NSX, Aria vSAN, and vSphere, contributing to the evolution of our infrastructure.  

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:  

Proactive Troubleshooter: Take charge of installing, tuning, and troubleshooting VMware, demonstrating your expertise in high-pressure situations.  

Holistic Monitoring: Ensure the seamless monitoring of application components, covering hardware, OS, and application levels, and proactively respond to alerts.  

Collaborative Approach: Work closely with cross-functional teams, leading troubleshooting efforts and contributing to a culture of collaborative problem-solving.  

Process Enhancement: Create and document efficient processes, from server creation to alert responses, elevating the team's operational efficiency.  

Customer-Centric Support: Handle day-to-day support activities, showcasing strong customer service, and contribute to live calls for production support incidents.  

We’re looking for a teammate with:  

• Over 6 years of IT experience, with recent 3+ years in enterprise environments, showcasing extensive VMware knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a customer-centric approach.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and GCP, and hands-on experience with Veeam, networking concepts, and TCP/IP routing.
• Proven ability to respond to critical issues, manage trouble tickets, and drive towards permanent resolutions.
• Active participation in infrastructure architecture, contributing to hardware sizing, effort estimation, and security.
• Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux environments, infrastructure-as-code tools, and virtual environments like OpenStack or Nutanix.

The location for this role is:  

Sweden, Lund or remote in Sweden
