The Senior Site Reliability Engineer Role
Join Qlik’s dynamic team in France as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the security, stability, and scalability of our Talend Cloud service.
You’ll get to work hands-on with plenty of exciting technology and scale challenges as we grow to support millions of transactions across hundreds of servers in our Talend Cloud environment. We are seeking candidates with expertise on both development and system administration.
What makes this role interesting?
Strategic Leadership: Be at the forefront of ensuring the high reliability and availability of the Talend Cloud platform, leading the charge in designing and developing effective tooling, automation, and documentation.
Innovative Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Architecture, Platforms, and Domains, to spearhead the design and evangelization of Cloud-related best practices and optimizations.
Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance to fellow operations engineers and development teams, offering mentorship on Cloud/backend technologies, production service operations, reliability, scalability, performance, and capacity.
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
Reliability Enhancement: Ensure the high reliability and availability of the Talend Cloud platform.
Collaborative Innovation: Lead the design and development of effective tooling, automation, and documentation.
Optimization Advocacy: Spearhead the design and evangelization of Cloud-related best practices and optimizations to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
- Experience in planning and leading projects, demonstrating accountability for ongoing deliveries and activities.
- Confirmed experience with IaC/configuration mgmt./systems automation tools at scale (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Practical experience in Cloud engineering/architecture (at least one from AWS or Azure) and microservices domain (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong analytical skills for solving complex problems and identifying broad perspectives for possible solutions.
- Experience in incident management coupled with effective communication skills.
- Practical experience with Agile software development methodologies (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, etc.).
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Go, etc.).
- Proficiency in English communication, both oral and written.
- Experience working within a distributed international Agile team environment.

Suresnes, Nantes or Remote in France
