Senior Account Manager - Progress Semaphore
In this role, you will:
- Account Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of existing Global 2000 enterprise accounts, identifying opportunities for upsell and cross-sell.
- New Business Development: Prospect, identify, and close new enterprise-level deals with a focus on expanding Semaphore's reach into untapped markets and accounts.
- Collaborative Selling: Partner with sales engineers to ensure a deep understanding of Semaphore's capabilities and how they can address specific business challenges for our customers.
- Customer Success: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Understand each customer’s unique business challenges, providing tailored solutions that demonstrate Semaphore’s value in knowledge management, data governance, and operational efficiency.
- Quota Attainment: Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and KPIs, leveraging a deep understanding of customer needs and Semaphore's product strengths.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, manage pipelines, and provide regular reporting to sales leadership.
Your background:
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise-level software sales, preferably within the Global 2000 space.
- Proven success in selling complex solutions in knowledge management, metadata management, or similar domains.
- Strong track record of managing and growing enterprise accounts while identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Ability to effectively communicate the value of Semaphore’s solutions to both technical and business audiences.
- Collaborative mindset: Demonstrated success working with sales engineers and technical teams to deliver high-impact customer solutions.
- Self-starter: Ability to work independently in a remote environment, while being an integral part of the broader sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
