About the role: This role is part of the IT Clinical Applications team, which will report to the Vice President of IT Applications Optimization (ITAO), and will participate in the planning, organization, and execution of clinical application enhancements and optimizations. The Clinical Applications Program Manager interfaces and collaborates with Enterprise Project Management Organization (EPMO), Implementations, Operations, Client Reporting/Business Intelligence, Growth, Product, Marketing, and Medical Leadership teams. This position acts as the central source of communications for clinical applications upgrades / updates / new products and workflow releases, roadmaps and supporting processes by supporting the daily activities of running and managing the ITAO release framework. This position is set in a fast-paced environment where a team member will need to have a positive attitude and excellent time management skills demonstrating independent work skills and strong work ethic.  
 

Essential Functions:   

  • Oversees end-to-end release management for clinical applications upgrades, optimizations, and enhancements which includes but is not limited to scheduling, planning, communicating, managing to deadlines, coordinating meetings, provides scope assessments, and leading go live release activities.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to plan, communicate, and execute release activities which ensures understanding of and adherence to release cycles and timelines.
  • Identifies and resolves release issues; escalates risks and manages mitigations.
  • Interfaces with third party vendors to provide Epic third-party access approvals, assists with third party contract renewals, completes annual vendor risk assessments, is the approver of Epic training and proctoring requests.
  • Manages small projects and maintains procedural documentation.
  • Establishes centralized communication plans and progress reporting.
  • Participates in and may lead special projects.
  • Maintains documentation related to procedures and ensure adherence of procedures and company practices.  
  • Explores and implements a variety of best practices and processes to promote quality and ensure operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Primary coordinator and communication liaison to organization’s Epic BFFs
  • Perform various administrative tasks for application teams including:
    • Creating/updating project templates in ServiceNow
    • Loading demands and projects in ServiceNow
    • Managing access to SharePoint site
    • Reviewing invoices for correctness, coding in Service Now for approval, communicate on discrepancies.

Job Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of project / program management experience, at least two (2) years of which is in the healthcare industry a plus.
  • Experience must include:
    • increasing responsibility of managing large, complex projects and activities
    • applying project management and/or Agile software development methodologies and practices (PMP, ACP, or Scrum Master Certification)
  • Prior Epic Application experience a plus
  • Occupational Health project management experience a plus

Preferred Experience:  

  • Strong program management abilities including: the ability to motivate and direct in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including presentation development, meeting facilitation, and agenda/meeting notes as well as experience communicating and collaborating with all levels of staff including direct reports, senior leaders, business partners, and vendors.
  • Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to oversee multiple projects and activities simultaneously, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Complex problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Intermediate level skill with the following toolsets: 
    • MS Office Suite 
    • MS Project
    • ServiceNow
    • Video conferencing tools (Zoom, etc.)
    • Collaboration Tools (SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Proven ability to work with teams managing complex projects and/or processes in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Proven ability to take a concept from idea to completion.
  • Able to work autonomously, be accountable, and take initiative.

For individuals living in California, Colorado, Washington; as well as, for individuals living in or reporting to New York State only, Premise Health is required to  include an estimate of the salary and benefits for this role. While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Washington, and New York compensation is $70,000 - $80,000.
