Premise offers a wide range of dynamic, purpose-driven career opportunities. We are currently looking for an Operations Associate Vice President to join our team in the Central Region with a preferred location of Chicago, Illinois.  
 
This role will lead Premise Health’s Taft-Hartley market of wellness centers delivering in person and digital care to 150,000+ eligible Taft-Hartley members, retirees, and their families. We are looking for a dynamic strategic account professional to build value driven strategic relationships and oversee execution of contractual deliverables.  
  
About the role: This position oversees all operational initiatives, strategic account management activity and supports their respective operations team within their book of business. Will be responsible for planning and directing activities to align with overall regional and Taft-Hartley account operations to maintain operational efficiency, account management, and service excellence. This position directs and develops high performing teams to deliver on established objectives, goals, strategies, and measures. Leads and executes short- and long-term strategies to align across regions as well as the Taft-Hartley funds and build operational efficiencies and strategic growth in this industry across the Premise Health enterprise.  
  
  
  
Essential Functions:    
  • Develops and directs high performing teams to execute contract deliverables and achieve strategic goals and objectives 
  • Build value driven, strategic, long-term client relationships 
  • Acts as liaison between client contacts (including fund administrator boards) and account team 
  • Collaborates and executes strategic roadmap for contract retention, growth expansion, and operational excellence.
  • Develops, leads, and executes, in conjunction with internal stakeholders, strategies to deliver improved access, enhanced member experience and exceptional clinical quality
  •  Recommend, develop, and implement improvements for client relationship management and operational delivery. 
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen and knowledge of staffing, capacity, ROI (Return on Investment), budget, margins, service, and product offerings, to accelerate growth and achieve operational outcomes.
  • Strategically identifies and solves complex problems effectively with an emphasis on developing proactive approaches utilizing internal (corporate and regional) support.
  • Actively responds to urgent client and wellness center issues and may be asked to spend time at wellness centers to stabilize for as long as needed.
  • Identifies and requests participation from corporate departments in strategic meetings as client needs dictate; able to strategically navigate internal support departments for innovative solution delivery.
  • Routinely communicates with client, wellness center staff and internal stakeholders including participation and presentations in internal and external business meetings, client board meetings, delivery of quarterly business reviews and strategic plans.   
  • Collaborates on strategy development and leads team in preparation and delivery of strategic client planning initiatives. 
  • Delivers products and initiatives supporting strategic goals and objectives. 
  • Reviews best practices and holistic effectiveness of systems, support, and structure.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage complex multiple lines of service, implementations, teams, and clients.
  • Provides effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the account team including Sr. Director of Client Operations and Director of Client Operations. 
  • Collaborates with Operations leadership on overall client success.
  • Executive presence and effective communication delivery on Premise Health’s overall performance and strategy to clients as well as fund administrator board, including board members.
  • Establishes regular communication across their book of business to ensure effective cascade of information.
  • Business partner for sales process in collaboration with Regional Vice President and Business Development team.
  • Oversees the indirect management of up to 100 wellness centers with multiple lines of service.
  • Indirectly manages the relationship of up to 50 clients.
  • Manages a portfolio of up to $100M in Gross Annual Revenue
  • Manages (direct and indirect) up to 500 FTEs.
   
Job Requirements:   
  • Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience with a significant business and account management focus)
  • 10+ years’ experience in a business environment or related industry, managing others
  • Experience with strategic account management
  • Supporting, partnering, or working with Taft-Hartley Trust Funds strongly preferred
  • Experience cultivating and growing client relationships with executive management teams
  • Demonstrated experience with medical information management systems
  • Experience in an Operations function as well as demonstrated successful growth of direct business
  • Healthcare experience managing in a medical, pharmacy, fitness, or other similar environment

  • Knowledge of current industry and legal issues
  • Prior budget and P&L responsibility
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, Medicare and/or clinical standards of practice
  • Knowledge of employee benefit plan designs
