About the role:
Supervise ergonomist(s) on site and from home, providing direction and support for the ergonomic assessments and recommendations and assist the Health Center Manager as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Manages staff typically composed of Ergonomist Specialists and executes the following, but not limited to supervisory responsibilities:
- Direct supervision for 2-10 Ergonomist Specialists across 1-2 sites
- Responsible for following appropriate processes for staff management including staff development and performance management
- Responsible for interviewing, training and ensuring the successful orientation and onboarding of new colleagues
- Assist Premise team and Health Center Manager in implementation of strategic program and marketing plans
- Assist the Health Center Manager with monthly reporting statistics
- Partner with Premise Health Teams and related departments to provide optimal performance of the site to meet the needs and satisfaction of client
- Address customer issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution Execute the non-supervisory responsibilities of an Ergonomist Specialist, but not limited to the following:
- Identify and assess ergonomic hazards in the workplace
- Work in an embedded client environment
- Produce technical reports in a proficient and timely manner
- Complete data collection and detailed analysis
- Advise on the organization of production lines and workstations
- Assemble solution for both short and long-term risk reduction
- Manage multiple projects concurrently
- Professionally and effectively interact with diverse clientele
- Promote safe, healthy, and inspired workplace environments
- May require other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Degree in Health Sciences (Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, or Exercise Science) with an ergonomic focus or a Degree in Bio-Physical Engineering preferred.
Experience:
- At least 2 years experience working with ergonomic application
- No supervisory experience required, but is preferred.
- 3-5 years experience working with ergonomic application preferred.
