Site Reliability Engineer

The Cloud Operations department is a continuous improvement culture. As a member of our Site Reliability Engineering team, you will play a key role in our transformation from monolithic to microservices architecture and adoption of open source technologies. You will help us improve the reliability and delivery of our products. You will ensure that issues are resolved in an organized manner as quickly and efficiently as possible.


  • Experience with Operations technologies including the following:
    • Web Servers (IIS 7.0 – IIS 10)
    • Server Operating Systems (Windows Server, Linux)
    • Virtualization Environments
    • Load balancer experience (F5 LTM, Azure Load Balancer)
    • Strong Scripting Knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl, Golang, Selenium etc.)
  • Experience using and managing a variety of open source technologies and cloud services, ideally including the following:
    • Public Cloud experience: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform
    • Kubernetes supporting enterprise needs: Kubernetes platforms, Docker, Aqua, Twistlock
    • Infrastructure/Configuration as code: Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
  • Proven history building automated solutions that enable resiliency and self-healing of applications
  • 5+ years Site Reliability Experience or highly related experience
  • 3+ years of infrastructure administration experience
  • 2+ years IIS application infrastructure administration experience
  • 2+ years Linux administration experience
  • Strong understanding of IPv4/IPv6, FTP, HTTP (request/response), SSL/TLS, HTML, XML
  • Capability to analyze packet captures and appropriate tools (Wireshark etc.)
  • Familiarity with application performance monitoring packages (AppDynamics, New Relic, PRTG, Dynatrace, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of application clustering/load balancing technologies like F5
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work independently as well as within a team with little supervision
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

Experience with the following will make you more competitive for this position:
  • Knowledge of .Net website functionality
  • Knowledge of Redis
  • Familiarity with external monitoring services like PRTG and Dynatrace
  • Familiarity with Akamai content distribution network or similar services
  • Knowledge of Consul
  • Familiar with OpsGenie
  • Familiar with Prometheus and Alert Manager
