Pinnacle Business Systems Analyst

Primary responsibility is to understand business processes & challenges and translate & deliver the required technology solutions leveraging structured project plans

Primary Duties:

  • Provide a key point of contact for business functions into IT and acts as a conduit between the two organizations
  • Conducts preliminary investigation for project requests
  • Assist with IT Governance and prioritization
  • Lead and facilitate business requirements gathering and process modeling
  • Coordinate and develop requirements with technical resources including gap analysis and process flows
  • Complete business cases in support of projects and related initiatives
  • Develop and implement project plans using best practice project management methodologies
  • Hold project meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Define and deliver strategic initiatives and projects
  • Assist with troubleshooting problems, resolving system issues, and improving overall data quality
  • Work with external partners on IT related issues
  • Lead the design, documentation and execution of test plans and test cases
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and track and resolve identified issues
  • Provide operational support for systems as necessary
  • May act as a project manager on small projects
  • Adept to apply Agile / SCRUM & Waterfall methodologies as required
  • Able to leverage the SDLC for system updates & changes
  • Create support processes for Helpdesk staff

 

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop relationship with internal customers, working with them to optimize and enhance our systems
  • Help design, document and maintain system processes
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer through process or existing technology
  • Collaborate with internal IT customers to gather, analyze, and define business and functional requirements
  • Prepare supporting business requirement artifacts as appropriate such as process flow diagrams, wire frames and report mockups.
  • Perform analysis of complex data sources and create specification for data mapping and reports
  • Translate and simplify requirements for application integrations or customizations.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and external contractors to interpret functional requirements and ensure they are addressed throughout all phases of the project.
  • Prepare training plans, release notes, customer announcements, and other internal job aids to facilitate successful product deployments.
  • Work with other departments on projects from inception to completion, compile on-going status reports to involved parties (manage the project)
  • Test new systems/modifications prior to implementation / go live
  • Work with limited oversight and guidance to move assigned tasks forward
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
