Pet Emergency & Specialty Center East is seeking a Lead customer service representative to join our team!

**Veterinary field experience is required for this role. 

In this role, you are an ambassador to our clients and your main focus is to ensure that our client’s needs are met in a timely manner while demonstrating a sincere compassion for our clients and patients. You are the liaison between the client and the medical staff and are responsible for maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow between the front office and the technical staff. You will be performing public relations and clerical responsibilities and must be detail-oriented and work well under pressure.

Hourly Wage: $21-$23/hr depending on experience and skillset. 

Schedule: 10 hour shifts (Swing/Overnight/Weekend shifts)

 Essential CSR Job Functions:
  • Greet clients and their pets with prompt professionalism and courtesy
  • Enter/Update client information in Practice Management system
  • Admit incoming patients
  • Present treatment plans & invoice for services
  • Discharge outgoing patients
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Accurately take client payments
  • Maintain confidential medical records
  • Maintain all aspects of work place organization and cleanliness
  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Scan and file medical records
  • Fax/ E-mail information to client and primary veterinarian medical staff
  • Facilitate obtaining medical records from primary veterinarians
  • Provide options to clients and obtains signatures on corresponding legal forms
In addition to the Essential CSR duties, the Lead CSR will be responsible for:
  • Setting an example working alongside the CSR team
  • Supervising, directing, and providing constructive feedback for CSR team
  • Assisting with staff scheduling
  • Helping to implement procedures concerned with client communication
  • Triaging patient and clients needs to appropriate staff
  • Processing end of day cash calculation
  • Other duties as assigned by the leadership team
The ideal candidate will have a positive and professional attitude, strong business and interpersonal skills, and have knowledge of commonly used veterinary terminology (e.g. terms of anatomy, physiology, diseases, tests, etc.) in order to accurately communicate with clients.
