Position at PetCure Oncology at Veterinary Radio Surgery and Imaging Center

We are looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our Medical Oncology Team!! 


Sign-On Bonus! $1,000

Compensation Range:  $28 -$33 / hour
Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly rate starting at $28 - $33/ per hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.    

Shifts: Full-Time, but will consider Part-Time     


We know that you’ve worked hard in your veterinary career and we will give you the opportunity to use and expand your knowledge and experience. The skills our Oncology Veterinary Technicians/Assistants excel at are phlebotomy and may be trained to administer chemotherapy using our safe closed system devices to administer chemotherapy treatments.     

Our Oncology team is trained to develop a strong knowledge of all chemotherapy agents used in our practice. Our Oncology team participates in daily Rounds to review the current day patient’s treatment plans. Our veterinary medical oncology technicians and Assistants develop strong bonds with owners' pets undergoing treatment, focusing on providing the best quality of life for our patients.     

Ideal Candidates:     

  • Previous knowledge of working in veterinary medical oncology preferred, but not required.
  • Chemotherapy administration preferred, but not required 
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Are energetic: TEAM players with great communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and has the ability to learn and assimilate quickly to new computer applications
  • Are able to fully use their technical skills, as well as learn from new experiences
  • Provide input and assist with all aspects of patient care.

Education:     

  • Formal Veterinary Technology education or Applied Science preferred, but not required
  • 2 years of experience, specialty hospital experience preferred, will pay a premium if you have prior medical oncology experience.
  • Preferred: VTS (Oncology), RVT, LVT, CVT
