Veterinary ICU Department Manager

Capital Veterinary Specialists, Jax is seeking an experienced ICU Department Manager with a background in leadership and ICU/Treatment to join our growing practice.
Essential duties include providing compassionate care to patients and clients, making accurate decisions on the condition and/or urgent care of patients, retaining Vitals, restraining animals, IV C placement, drug dosage calculation and administration, laboratory diagnostics, and management of critically ill patients.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a vet tech in a veterinary practice or hospital
- Minimum of 1 year in a leadership position
- High level skills in the treatment and care of in house animal patients
- Ability to work with fractious pets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as multi-tasking ability.
- Organized, honest, reliable, flexible, independent
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
- Supervision of up to 15 veterinary technicians
- Involvement in all scheduling, hiring, and HR needs for technicians in CCU department
