About the Role:

The Account Supervisor serves as the primary day-to-day client contact. The AS supports in developing the strategic direction for the brand and assists in managing the agency team through project implementation and execution. This position supports account profitability, client relationship at the product/marketing manager level, growth of accounts, and strategic cross-servicing opportunities. The AS is responsible for managing and training junior direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages day-to-day needs of account and maintains daily client contact and follow-up
  • Maintains financial control of the account including utilization and profitability
  • Possesses a solid understanding of the industry, category, and brand
  • Understands agency strategic (Brand Story) and creative process (Creative Brief) and participates in development as directed
  • Mentors, educates, trains, and motivates junior account staff
  • Works with senior leaders to identify new business opportunities within existing accounts; supports external new business initiatives as requested
  • Attends client meetings as needed (market research, POA, NSM, yearly planning, etc)
  • Participates in strategy development, tactical planning and scope development

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of prior experience in agency or healthcare marketing environment
  • Strong knowledge of general pharmaceutical marketing and sales, brand management and/or consumer marketing, preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Launch experience required
  • Possesses ability to present point of view and influence decision-making
  • Maintains composure under pressure; leads by example
  • Displays knowledge, aptitude and willingness to embrace digital concepts such as interactive design, user-experience, engagement, mobile, social media, programming etc.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates initiative when exploring team/client needs, responding to requests and furthering understanding of marketing principles and pharma industry market dynamics
  • Strong presentation skills to internal and external audience
