JOB SUMMARY:  

The Superintendent is responsible for supporting the Project Management team by coordinating job-site activities, organization of subcontractors and vendors, and assisting in project controls.  

  

JOB DUTIES:  

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

  1. Assist Construction Project Managers in determining scope and specifications for the projects.
  2. Assist Construction Project Manager with vendor bidding.
  3. Determine needed resources for projects (manpower, equipment and materials)
  4. Attend regularly scheduled progress meetings with project team to ensure client satisfaction.
  5. Coordinate sub-contractors, including RFIs and submittals.
  6. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly job site.
  7. Oversee job site coordination and logistics, including temporary access, cleanup, temporary protection and dust control, shut downs, temporary signage, etc.
  8. Coordinate with Property Management team regarding and impacts on building and neighboring suites.
  9. Supervise all on-site activity of vendors and inspect quality and completeness of vendor work.
  10. Aid in monitoring safety of vendors and in-house workers.

   

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.  

   

JOB REQUIREMENTS:  

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred) plus 2 - 5 years of experience working in construction project management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Strong time management and project management skills
  3. Ability to proficiently use various Microsoft Office applications. Experience with PlanGrid and Smartsheets a plus.
  4. Successfully works in fast paced environment, ability to multitask is essential.
  5. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage; Ability to provide own transportation.
  6. Perform all job duties with a positive attitude.

   

   

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:  

Employee will be regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. Employee will be frequently required to reach with hands or arms. Employee is occasionally required to sit or stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal working office conditions. Noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
