The Warehouse Stores Technician checks that the right parts are in the right place at the right time in support of the maintenance requirements of all aircrafts in Ornge. Improves processes, operational controls, strategy, and coordinating activities with the Ornge Air team while ensuring that operating efficiencies are maximized.

  Responsibilities:

  • Interacts with all aspects of the organization to ensure requirements are clear and concise (i.e., Maintenance, Maintenance Planning, Purchasing).
  • Participates in daily production meetings.
  • Participates in weekly planning meetings.
  • Performs daily receiving inspection of aeronautical products ensuring compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations, Transport Canada regulations, Canadian Controlled Goods, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, and Company policy and procedures.
  • Enters receiving data into computer software ensuring accuracy.
  • Safely and securely puts stock into stocking locations.
  • Performs shipping duties including aircrafts on ground (AOG), transfers, repairs, and cores in support of maintenance requirements.
  • Pulls parts based on demands and prepares for shipping.
  • Determines best method of transport dependent upon urgency and commodity.
  • Packages shipments for protection from damage and in accordance with applicable regulations (i.e., Dangerous Goods, Lithium Batteries, etc.).
  • Prepares shipping label with appropriate carrier dependent upon urgency and commodity.
  • Enters shipping data into computer software.
  • Performs Shop Certification on prescribed products as approved by Ornge Quality Assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • 1-2 years of similar experience.
  • Valid drivers’ licence.
  • Able to obtain Forklift Operator certificate.
  • Able to qualify for the Canadian Controlled Goods program.
  • Experience in an airline store environment is preferred.
