Key Accountabilities:
- Review, scan and upload Air Ambulance Call Reports (AACR) and other patient-related documents into the records system.
- Data entry of AACR including validation in accordance with data quality standards.
- Maintains patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with PHIPA privacy regulations.
- Participates in all activities related to the on-site and off-site storage of health records including the organization and maintenance of an electronic filing system and manual records.
- Takes an active role in process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in post-secondary education in Healthcare Informatics or other related healthcare field.
- Knowledge of privacy practices (PHIPA) for managing confidential patient data.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, experience in quality assurance processes.
- Ability to work with high expectation of confidentiality.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines are essential.
