Position Summary:  The Crop Claims Processor is responsible for providing a full range of support to the Crop Claims Department.  He/She reads, analyzes and interprets procedure documents and is involved in expediting the processing and payment of all claims. 

Essential Duties:

  • Monitors claims through auditing and data entry.
  • Calculates user and system errors and tracks common occurrences.
  • Conducts audits for inconsistencies.
  • Tracks claims for timeliness.
  • Processes loss claims for payment.
  • Works closely with the underwriting department to ensure that there are no changes to claims prior to payment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable of RMA guidelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret procedure documents.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
  • Ability to conduct daily duties in a professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within and outside the company.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team; good interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the processing of crop claims.
