OCMI, Inc. is growing and seeking a full-time dynamic, success driven Commissioning Technician to join our onsite team on a multi-year, large-scale active construction program located in New Haven, CT. In this role, you will provide highly responsive construction management services in one of the firm’s core business lines. The Commissioning Technician duties include, but not limited to:

  • Provide planning, oversight, and coordination of project commissioning activities ensuring that compliance is met with established scope for commissioning services.
  • Ensure commissioning services are following established workflows to meet minimum standard of care.
  • Provide tracking on project performance as well as feedback to project teams.
  • Undertake responsibility for projects of varying size and scope.
  • Actively interact with architects and design professionals, commissioning consultants, project managers and code officials.
  • Management of external commissioning consultants, and other technicians assigned to the project team.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in commissioning showcasing a deep understanding of the field.
  • Strong understanding and background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection trades.
  • Previous experience with architecture and design on complex and large-scale construction management projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, architectural engineering or a technical degree with prior work experience in a related field.
  • P.E. License, RA registration and/or BCxP, CCP, CCM, CBCP, or BECxP highly preferred.
