Position at Oasis Hospital

Position summary: The Customer Service Registration cashier is responsible for cashiering and registration with an excellent customer service delivery to all clients and error free cash handling.   

Is expected to conduct and behave in a professional and respectful manner at all times. 

Requirements:
FEMALES ONLY
Education: Diploma/bachelors preferred
Experience: Minimum requirement is 2 years experience in a similar position, preferably in a hospital.
Excellent customer service skills
Must be Fluent in speaking Arabic and English
Good knowledge of different insurance companies, networks and rules.

Position Responsibilities in the course of duty:

  • Work closely with the Registration and Cashier Manager for all personal and official concerns and seek his advice, instructions and expertise whenever feel necessary.
  • Work closely with the Registration and Cashier Manager, IP billing staff members, Preauthorization Manager and Kennedy Center Supervisor while doing patient registration.
  • Welcome all patients and their relatives with a genuine smile and appropriate greetings. And comfort them. Make sure all registrations are done in timely manner and computations are all over before patient walks in for final settlement after discharge.
  • Ensure that all Customer Service Registration cashiers are aware of all the insurance companies, third party administrators and other institutions on direct billing with the Oasis Hospital and different types of schedules of benefits for their various health insurance plans and familiar with all their insurance cards
  • Ensure that all Customer Service Registration cashiers are knowledgeable of deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance amounts, insurance exclusions, limitations and restrictions of all the insurance policies that OH is dealing with
  • Ensure all Customer Service Registration cashier staff members have proficiency in professional typing with a minimum speed of 20 words per minute
  • Ensure that all Customer Service Registration cashiers are knowledgeable of cash management with knowings of all the international currencies OH is dealing in and error free cash handling even at busy hours.
  • Deal with angry and frustrated customers with a good knowledge of situation handling where service recovery is essential.Working with fellow workers in a friendly, amicable and very professional manner with a very high team spirit.
  • Speak in one uniform language that is English in the working environment when communicating with fellow workers
  • Ensure compliance with all current departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all the obtained information.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the computer system.
