  Role Description:  

The Facilities Associate is an important part of the Oak Street Health organization by providing regional support to the national facilities program.  This position is responsible for ensuring daily operational reliability of medical clinics and offices, maintenance requests and facility improvements and renovations.    

 The Facilities Associate will provide technical and personal skills that will improve and advance the Facilities Management Program for our existing footprint of primary care centers as well as support for additional locations as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will be motivated by Oak Street Health's mission to become a leader in value-based primary care for under-served populations.   

 The role is a combination of improving ongoing daily maintenance and operations support for our existing locations as well as assisting in developing facilities management in new locations, in different markets.  This role encompasses multiple tasks and technical specialties within a building and construction environment. Communication with both internal and external stakeholders.  

Core Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure a safe and productive work environment for our patients and team members.  

  • Strategic facilities operation planning and facility build outs/improvements.  

  • Facilities support for newly built care centers.   

  • Vendor relationship management.  

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Practice Manager training programs.  

  • Schedule and manage routine maintenance and inspections of Oak Street Health facilities.  

  • Management of preventative maintenance programs.  

  • Developing and Maintaining newly implemented facility management ticketing system.   

  • Maintain excellent working relationships with Practice Managers of each center to enhance the patient experience.  

  • Management and implementation of security systems and protocols.  

  • Communication with landlords and property managers.  

  • Other duties, as assigned  

 What are we looking for?

  • 3-5 years prior facilities management experience in a multi-site retail/office environment  

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems  

  • A self-starter with the ability to independently pursue solutions  

  • Experience with various software applications  

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and manage multiple projects  

  • Ability to report metrics and collaborate with management team  

  • A problem-solving orientation and a focus on getting results  

  • Incredible level of organization, reliability, and attention to detail  

  • Flexible and positive attitude  

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly  

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office, Google docs)  

  • Past professional experience in a fast-paced environment  

  • US work authorization
