Stock Associate, Run Center (Part-Time)

NYRR is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and operations-centered Run Center Stock Associate to receive shipments and maintain inventory. Responsibilities include unloading inventory from pallets, lifting boxes and equipment, organizing stock to maximize accessibility to the Run Center Team, recording inventory quantities and completing reports in Excel and other inventory systems. The Run Center Stock Associate will assist the Run Center Manager in coordinating with the warehouse to manage inventory in a thoughtful way that minimizes disruptions to Run Center programming and activities. Tasks include facilitating race premium and t-shirt distribution, taking inventory, following through the completion of reports, generating warehouse requests, organizing stockroom and inventory areas and coordinating with the team in preparation for weekend races.


Job Responsibilities:

  • This role requires someone who is responsible for receiving merchandise, stock room maintenance, tracking inventory consumption, communicating with the team and assisting in a customer service capacity
  • Work closely with the Run Center Manager, Assistant Managers and Warehouse Team.
  • Support bib and race premium distribution at the Run Center
  • Maintain inventory tracking systems and develop new ways to optimize operations
  • Work with the Run Center Manager to oversee race premium inventory, including receiving shipments, recording inventory quantities and assisting with the invoice process

  • Work in a customer-facing role as needed
  • Work on other projects or assignments as needed
  • Position will be up to 25 hours per week


Job Requirements:


  • 1-2 years of stockroom/retail experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be available to work 3-4 days a week
  • Must have a flexible availability including weekends
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel etc.)
  • Basic familiarity with inventory software
  • Proven success at managing a wide array of tasks and projects
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on various tasks and projects
  • Excellent customer service skills and able to work with a diverse group of staff and participants
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Passion for NYRR and the brand’s Run for Life mission
  • Must be self-motivated, results oriented; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Multi-lingual skills a plus
