RUNCENTER Inventory Associate (Part-Time)

Description

NYRR is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and operations-centered Inventory Associate for the RUNCENTER to oversee the receiving, processing, and maintenance of product shipments to ensure that premium items and race paraphernalia is readily available for distribution. Primary responsibilities include unloading inventory from shipments to ensure that the runner services team has all of products, materials, and supplies needed to operate efficiently in ways that are aligned to established policies and standards. The Inventory Associate will also support the RUNCENTER by overseeing inventory management processes and resolving issues that arise in consultation with the RUNCENTER Manager in a thoughtful way that minimizes disruptions to RUNCENTER events, programming and activities.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • The most successful inventory associate will have 1-2 years of direct stock/retail experience
  • Receiving and processing materials, products, and merchandise
  • Maintaining stock rooms and accurate inventory flow records
  • Tracking inventory consumption and meeting supply chain objectives
  • Managing multiple inventories and shipments
  • Communicating and coordinating with a team
  •  Assisting with customer service activities
  • Reporting problems to management and engaging in collaborative problem-solving to identify, analyze, and address gaps inventory processes

  • Support the seamless distribution of race bibs and premium items at the RUNCENTER
  • Maintain existing inventory tracking systems and develop new ways to optimize operations to support the RUNCENTER’s success
  • Work with the RUNCENTER Manager to manage race premium inventory, including receiving shipments, recording inventory quantities and assisting with the invoice process
  • Support the RUNCENTER’s commitment to premium customer service role when needed, including working face-to-face with members and visitors to the RUNCENTER
  • Basic familiarity with inventory software
  • Work on other projects or assignments as needed

 Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Skills and Attributes: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Multi-lingual skills a plus

 Position Specifics: 

  • Position will be scheduled to work up to 25 hours per week
  • Must be available to work at 6:30- 11:00 am
  • Must be available to work Wednesday and Friday
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be available to work 3-4 days a week
  • Must have a flexible availability including weekends
