Position Summary: |
The Vice President of Audience Strategy works with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop and manage, from idea to execution, marketing and communications campaigns that support revenue growth, raise the institution’s profile, and develop new audiences for NYBG. The role demands expertise in utilizing research, real-time data, audience sentiment, and industry trends to grow NYBG’s relevance and marketshare within the cultural landscape. This role partners with departments across the institution to create and promote content to support various marketing strategies to expand the Garden’s overall reach across a broad range of audiences. The Vice President oversees the creative development, content planning and scheduling, market research, tourism and trade outreach, and exhibitions-related public relations campaigns to drive income at the institution. This role oversees the staffers responsible for NYBG.org, institutional email, and social media and blogs, and serves as the lead for key external agency relationships and oversight for related campaigns.
Additionally, this position supports, through actions and conduct, NYBG’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility initiatives and helps to build and maintain an inclusive organization culture throughout the institution. |

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to, at minimum work outdoors under a variety of weather conditions, as needed.

Baseline Work Schedule:
35-Hour Workweek, Monday through Friday, with opportunity to work remotely two days a week. Some evening and weekend work required for special events, weekend festivals, etc. as needed.
Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience within the range of $190,000-$210,000
