Job Summary

The Corporate Sales Engineer role is a high impact, multi-function role responsible for establishing Nutanix as an innovative technical leader within assigned territories and/or globally.  As a CSE Intern you will contribute to the enhancement of the demo and Hosted POC lab services provided to the Sales organization.   

  • Assist in racking, managing, deploying, imaging, and troubleshooting servers
  • Cabling servers and network equipment
  • Support Corp SEs in troubleshooting hardware, network, and connectivity issues
  • Providing on-site and remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of various computer and networking systems
  • Develop or assist in the development of new software features related to the lab
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain lab & data center policies, processes, and how-to documents
  • Learn, understand and utilize Nutanix’s RX cluster reservation system
  • Monitor, track, and inventory Nutanix hardware and assets
  • Monitor support channels such as slack #rx channel, JIRA and emails for support request coming in from the field


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the following: Networking, Basic protocols (ex. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), Linux, Windows, Virtualization, and APIs
  • Skilled in Node.js, Javascript, and Python
  • Knowledge of data center best practices (power, cooling, redundancy) and hypervisors (Hyper-V, KVM) preferred

Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, specializing in engineering 
  • Must be local to the bay area
