Global Account Manager

Nutanix is looking for a Global Account Manager.  As a Global Account Manager, you are responsible for leading a worldwide virtual team to sell Nutanix’ Products and Solutions.  You will interact directly with global customers headquartered or have a Regional HQ in the assigned region. You will also be working closely with a Global Sales Engineer in your accounts.

Essential to success in this role is a keen ability to develop new accounts and to penetrate new divisions and organizations within your assigned accounts. Nutanix provides unrivalled support and tools from the Engineering, Marketing, and Product Development departments for you to leverage to exceed sales performance goals. In this position, you would be working very closely with an Executive Sponsor, the VPs and have a large amount of influence on sales team decisions and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an account based global virtual team of Sales and SE’s to meet aggressive growth targets
  • Use leadership and relationship management techniques to develop selling opportunities within assigned accounts including penetrating new divisions and organizations: and developing new selling relationships within assigned accounts
  • Establish account based resource plan, coverage model, and GTM strategies
  • Identify strategies on how to partner with OEM’s, GSI’s, and the channel to meet client demands/requirements
  • Develop an account plan to sell to customers based on their business needs.
  • Build and strengthen the business relationship with current accounts and new prospects.
  • Recommend and help manage account based marketing strategies.
  • Provide status information to your Manager including forecast/pipeline information.

Skills

  • Strong Global Account Management, leadership, and influence skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the sales function and across functions including Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering, and Product Development.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques
  • An aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems as well as the competitive landscape.
  • Ability to communicate with senior managers about their business challenges and Nutanix data management storage solutions.
  • Experience using SFDC and other CRM software.
  • Track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas in contiguous, multiple years.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 12+ years of Global Account Management sales experience required. 
  • Passion, Desire, and Global Account Mindset leading a worldwide virtual team.
  • Track record in running large Global Accounts (Inbound/Outbound) in the Enterprise Data center or Cloud space.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
