About the Team
At Nutanix, you would have the opportunity to join the dynamic Nutanix's Disaster Recovery and Backup (BCDR) team, consisting of 50+ skilled engineers located across Bangalore, San Jose, Pune, and Durham. This team fosters a collaborative and friendly environment that encourages continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Working together efficiently to solve problems, team members enjoy ample opportunities for professional growth through collaborations with other departments. With a hybrid working style that includes two-three days in the office, the team values flexibility and transparent knowledge sharing, providing a supportive atmosphere for all members.
You will report to the Senior Director of Engineering and work in a hybrid setup, requiring two days in the office. This provides a balance between in-person collaboration and remote work, offering the benefits of both settings. As for travel requirements, there are none, allowing you to focus on your projects and team collaborations without the need for frequent travel.
Your Role
- Conduct end-to-end system testing for complex Disaster recovery features.
- Lead a team of 3-4 engineers
- Design and build complex test beds and tools
- Create and automate detailed system test plans
- Identify and analyze bugs, finding root causes of failures
- Work closely with partner teams like Dev, Product management and support.
- Mentor Junior Engineers.
What You Will Bring
- 10+ years of software QA engineering experience
- Experience in Python/Perl/C/C++/Java
- Ability to debug and extend automated tests
- Skills in debugging complex distributed applications
- Experience in test plan design and development
- Experience testing a "systems" product
- Strong fundamentals in OOP, algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving
- Experience in enterprise networking and virtualization concepts
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 148,000 and USD $ 296,400 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
