University Recruiting Manager

On the Nutanix Talent Acquisition Team, we provide the tools and resources for you to pave your career as you see fit. There is unlimited access to Hiring Managers, Hiring Team Members, Global Recruiting Org, as well as all other business units (Finance, Comp and Benefits, etc.) to help foster great relationships with your candidates and your Hiring Teams. As the University Recruiting Manager at Nutanix, you will be responsible for the overall direction and strategy of the University Recruiting Program. A solid university recruiting background, management experience and knowledge of systems are required for this exciting opportunity. Experience with non-technical roles is a plus, to include Marketing, G&A, HR, IT, Legal, Finance and Sales. You will be responsible for not only recruiting the next generation of Nutants, but for creating a robust, innovative, and engaging program designed to accurately depict the amazing opportunities that we have here at Nutanix. We are looking to take our program to a new level which includes breaking down traditional avenues of recruiting, fostering a program focused deeply on diversity and inclusion, and creating an overall experience that is representative of the disruptive Company that we are.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide first level line management to entire University Recruiting Team, including Recruiters, Sourcers, and Recruiting Coordinators, as well as manage the overall direction of the University Program season by season.
  • Work closely with Hiring Teams (Managers/ Directors/ VPs) to advise on headcount forecast and allocations to meet University staffing needs.
  • Create and deliver strategic plans for each upcoming season (to include presenting to key stakeholders (Managers/ Directors/ VPs) to ensure appropriate buy in).
  • Analyze team metrics to ensure KPIs are met.
  • Analyze compensation data against the market and make recommendations to compensation team as needed.
  • Sustain high levels of operational excellence through effective use of staffing tools, processes and demonstrating fiscal responsibility.
  • Strategize, plan, and execute On-Campus Career Fairs, Interviews, Tech Talks, and Networking Events to promote brand awareness and drive pipeline.
  • Bring creative new ideas and programs to elevate the Nutanix University Recruiting Experience. 
  • Engage in weekly meetings with Hiring Teams and Recruiting Team to identify trends within the market, strategize on outreach, brainstorm innovative selling/ closing tactics and update Teams on general temperature of each University Recruiting Season.
  • Develop best practices amongst the Hiring Team and Recruiting Team and ensure proper execution season by season.
  • Create a global organizational culture that will be the basis for motivation, development, and retention of all University Recruiting employees. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience in University Recruiting.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills including communication, delivery of results, consultative skills, and partnership skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills and experience with Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, HackerRank/ Entelo and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Results oriented with demonstrated strategic thinking, innovation and flexibility in dealing with changing and ambiguous situations.
