Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

We are looking for a SDET Python Automation (Senior MTS) to join the Nutanix Database (NDB) team — a fast-paced, innovative group building our Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) offering. Your Role
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will:
- Understand customer deployment scenarios and derive relevant test strategies.
- Write detailed test plans to ensure broad and deep test coverage.
- Design and enhance automation frameworks to support rapid test development.
- Automate and execute test cases for new features and regressions.
- Work closely with development, product management, and QA peers to ensure high product quality.
- Drive testing efforts in an Agile development environment with full ownership.
What You Will Bring
- 8+ years of experience testing enterprise-grade software.
- Proficiency in Python and experience developing automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
- Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Databases (e.g., Postgres/MongoDB/SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL)
- Storage systems
- Virtualization technologies
- Good to have experience with cloud platforms(AWS/Azure).
- Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting in Linux and Windows environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
