Data Analyst (Contractor) - People Analytics Team


Job Summary:

The Nutanix People Analytics Team is responsible for analyzing employee life cycle data to drive effective action planning and support an exceptional employee experience. We are looking to add an analyst with experience in data reporting to strengthen our capacity to deliver insight to the organization.



  • Audit HR data sets in preparation for data reporting and analysis
  • Build data dashboards based on requirements from cross-functional stakeholders
  • Quality-assure data dashboards for use with various audiences (from HR and Execs, to managers)
  • Engage in regular and ad-hoc data reporting as needed
  • Carefully handle sensitive employee data, to ensure necessary confidentiality and security
  • Identify and implement process improvements across various projects


Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a math or science field (or in final year of study)
  • Expertise working with large datasets, building visualizations, and data reporting
  • Strong Excel Skills required, proficiency in Tableau preferred, and other statistical packages (e.g., SPSS, R) not required, but also preferred
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality assurance
  • Exceptional communication skills--both verbal and written, and ability to work in virtual and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Demonstrated experience balancing and delivering upon multiple priorities
