Job Summary 
Manager, Alliances
 

To maintain momentum and to accelerate growth, Nutanix is expanding its Technology Alliances team.  The Manager, Alliances will be responsible for the primary oversight and strategic alignment between Nutanix and our partners in a variety of industry areas.  This person will secure, manage and advance technology partnerships between Nutanix and a wide variety of ecosystem players. 
 

This candidate will have a proven track record of identifying, recruiting & building new technology partnerships, ideally within the enterprise software and/or datacenter infrastructure spaces, and leveraging those partnerships to drive business results.  The Manager, Alliances will work closely with the Nutanix Ready and alliances programs office to grow Nutanix business with these technology partners. 


Responsibilities:

  • Onboard partners into the Nutanix Elevate Technology Partner Program and manage them to graduate in the program and fulfill the requirements successfully.
  • Build and execute the right alignment between Nutanix and the alliance partners, including driving go-to-market programs, solution development, field enablement and technical alignment. 
  • Identify key areas of alignment between Nutanix partners focused on specific industries or target growth markets & solutions offerings.
  • Coordinate negotiation of technology & business agreements with the partner.
  • Evangelize Nutanix to key stakeholders at all levels of the partner organization; be the voice of the partner within Nutanix.
  • Act as a thought leader to Nutanix internal teams on business and strategic issues relating to the Nutanix technology partner ecosystem.
  • Establish and track key success metrics.


Requirements:

  • Must have experience in alliances, product marketing or product management
  • Strong technical foundation in the IT industry, including an in-depth working knowledge of the enterprise software and data center infrastructure spaces.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to communicate professionally with partners, customers, and internal cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing & Engineering. 
  • Comfort with building strong relationships at all levels (working level to executive level) of the partner organization.
  • Proven ability to generate revenue through alliance partnerships.
  • Expertise in developing and executing solutions sales and product marketing programs.
  • Ability to lead development of joint value proposition along with GTM strategy for partners.
  • A structured thinker with superior writing, presentation, and problem solving skills.
  • Well apprised of major industry trends relevant to Nutanix including converged infrastructure systems, SAN/NAS storage systems, software defined data centers, big data, virtualization, etc. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency and execute detailed action plans; ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Engineering, Marketing and Legal.
  • A true self-starter who can quickly assess business requirements and become a trusted & integral part of the Nutanix team.
  • Highest level of personal and professional ethics and integrity.
  • Hands-on, and “does what it takes” attitude to drive success.


Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • 3-5 years experience in managing technology partnerships in enterprise software, virtualization, dev/ops, containers, hybrid cloud, storage and/or data center spaces, including a deep network of contacts in these spaces.
  • MBA not required but recommended
