Digital Communications Coordinator

Position Summary

This new position is located within the corporate headquarters of Associated Universities, Inc. The successful candidate will serve as AUI’s Digital Communications Coordinator and will have the opportunity to shape the digital design and development aspects of AUI’s communications team by coordinating online outreach and communications, design elements, websites, social media, and multimedia. The Digital Communications Coordinator will report to the AUI Director for External Affairs and Strategic Communications. The Coordinator manages the design and development of digital and print marketing collateral and news for AUI and its subsidiaries.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinates social media operations, content production and technical aspects of AUI’s social media platforms, and updates news content on
  • Assists in developing and implementing standards to shape corporate style guide; Works with management to ensure alignment of the AUI brand across multiple departments and subsidiaries
  • Oversees the conceptualization, development and maintenance of a wide range of digital and print communications products for AUI and its subsidiaries

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or another relevant field.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital communication programs, social media


  • Excellent interpersonal skills to include working with clients, employees, and management.
  • Excellent analytical, time management, written/verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Adobe, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to multi-task, comfortable working in teams.
  • Proficient with WordPress and WordPress themes, Divi Themes, and WPEngine web hosting software is a plus.
  • Proficiency in brand management to include the creation of detailed reports tracking outreach metrics and providing insight on how to increase outreach impacts.
  • Excellent presentation skills using the software and systems listed above.
  • Experience managing web program and website projects which may have included planning, development, analysis, and optimization is strongly desired.
  • Experience in formatting imagery and text for professional grade proposals, white papers, and other marketing digital and print materials.
  • Experience developing, formatting, and maintaining a wide range of digital communications products such as press releases, blogs, podcasts, infographics, and videos.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems such as Open edX, Canvas, Moodle, as well as experience creating online training content, is a plus.
  • Experience with video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
  • Experience developing professional social media content and managing social media accounts, specifically:
    • LinkedIn, FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter.
  • Experience working with reporters is a plus.

 Physical Conditions/Nature of Work:

  • This individual will be required to sit and work on a computer for prolonged period of times
  • Will need to communicate via email, phone, virtually, and face to face once COVID restrictions are lifted
