Position: Sales Representative

Location: Northwest Center's Argus Janitorial - Spokane, WA

Salary: $40,000.00 yearly (plus commission) 


Position Summary:
  Using your stellar customer service and sales skills, you will build and maintain customer accounts while representing Argus Janitorial in a professional manner. Along with adding and growing customer accounts you will use your eye for detail to inspect accounts on a regular and scheduled basis.

Essential Functions:

  1. Maintain current and new
  2. Solicitation of “new account"
  3. Solicitation of “tag sales" (i.e. window cleaning, carpet cleaning, floor stripping, construction clean-ups, ).
  4. Maintain sales activity
  5. Inspect accounts a minimum of bi-monthly (more often if necessary).
  6. Write work assignments for each account to maintain the Argus Janitorial level and quality of
  7. Follow-up on work assignments to ensure that it is accomplished and level of cleaning is
  8. Establish a strong relationship with building tenants, property managers and building
  9. After 6 months, become an active participating member of an area service organization such as Rotary, Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, and
  10. Maintain positive relationships and meet daily with night supervisors and floor
  11. Attend weekly supervisory
  12. Attend weekly sales
  13. Immediately follow-up on customer complaints to include personal site visit and next day follow-up.
  14. Meet with customers and individual tenants to get detailed information for new account start up to include billing information, account budgets, building alarms, emergency phone numbers, hot spots, keys, Walk building with new supervisor prior to start-up & introduce to key customers.
  15. Follow-up daily for I week (or as long as necessary) on all new accounts, checking with tenants to ensure quality and eliminate repeat
  16. Ride with 1 supervisor one night per month for a minimum of 2-hours per Alternate monthly a ride with a different supervisor each month. This is to meet employees working in different buildings and discuss any problems they might be having or suggestions they may have on improving the building.

  19. Other tasks as assigned by
  20. This position reports directly to the General

Working Days and Hours:

The position of Sales Representative requires ·availability for occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.  You are required to carry a cell phone and be available.  However, this does not mean that you are required to work 24-hours.   Standard hours are Monday- Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.  There are times when a supervisor may need to call you at home at night because they have questions or an emergency.  In the event of an emergency or if a property manager needs to be called after business hours, the sales representative is responsible for making any after hour emergency calls.  It is not unusual for a sales representative to inspect a problem prior to arrival of the building tenants (before 8 AM).  You still need to be in the office between 4:00PM & 5:00PM to meet with supervisors.

Salary:

The sales representative compensation shall be an annual base salary in the amount of $40,000 plus commission sales. You will be given a review after successfully completing a 90-day probationary period.  Performance base reviews will be given annually.

  • Cleanliness of Accounts
  • Attendance
  • Attitude
  • Motivation
  • Ability to direct the supervisors in an effective and productive manner with regards to the accounts, startups
