Location: Everett, WA
Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Wage: $14.00 to $15.00 hourly DOE

Position Summary:                                   
Northwest Center's Electronetics is looking to add an Assembler/Winder to the team in Everett. The ideal Assembler/Winder will be someone who has knowledge of handling raw materials, can read and understand production drawings, is proficient with winding equipment, and thrives in a fast-paced work environment. 

⦁ Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job (typically acquired through 6+ years of related experience)

⦁ Complete highly repetitive tasks⦁ Able to work effectively and diplomatically with contract site personnel  

⦁ Ability to stand on feet and use hands for long periods of time to include entire shift

⦁ Take on new tasks as assigned

Essential Functions: 
Read and understand production drawing and its requirements:
⦁ Wind direction
⦁ Order of winds
⦁ Insulation location (between winding and/or final)
⦁ Lead break-out location

Know how to handle raw materials:
⦁ Tape: Paper, Kapton, Mylar, Nomex, adhesive
⦁ Nomex insulator : Thickness, width,
⦁ Bobbin (core tube); pins. Index key
⦁ Wire: size, insulation class
⦁ Familiar with hand tools: cutter pliers; ruler, caliper, micrometer

Winding equipment:
⦁ Wind direction
⦁ Order of winds
⦁ Lead break-out location
⦁ Proficient with winding equipment: (bobbin or toroidal)
⦁ Operate foot Speed control
⦁ Set up counter (reset after each winding)
⦁ Set up Wire tension accordingly to the wire size
⦁ Select hook wire for toroidal (full winder or manual wind production aids)
⦁ Finish dimension (avoids coil too fat)
